Le premiazioni seguono sostanzialmente l’andamento atteso, con riconoscimenti principali a film come “Oppenheimer” (miglior film drammatico, miglior regia a Christopher Nolan, miglior attore protagonista e non protagonista in un film drammatico a Cillian Murphy e Robert Downey Jr., miglior colonna sonora) e “Poor Things” (miglior commedia/musical, migliore attrice in una commedia/musical a Emma Stone). Alcuni colpi di scena includono il film “Barbie” che esce a mani vuote, sebbene il film Greta Gerwig vince il premio per la miglior canzone (“What Was I Made For?” di Billie Eilish e Finneas), e “Anatomia di una caduta” che ottiene successi come miglior film internazionale e miglior sceneggiatura. Niente da fare per “Io Capitano” di Matteo Garrone, unico nome italiano in nomination.
